I had a bit of a shocker of a round yesterday.
It was the monthly medal competition so the course was playing as hard as it can from a distance and pin position perspective.
I could not hit driver straight which basically put me in bad positions on most holes.
I could also not buy a putt.
Some thoughts:
- I need to do more 50% driver practise shots during the week, maybe try to average 100 per week
- These should be going straight or have slight fade to them
- Use this shot as my stock driver swing where getting in play is more important than length
- Important to grip the club as usual, don't mess with my grip at all with driver
- At the range make sure my long irons are not too hooky, it should be a soft draw or straight shot shape
