I'm pretty happy to have a new piece of tech. It is also incredibly expensive right now. The number is kind of scary (A$7,899.00).

Big Tech Week 26

This really is the biggest week of tech for me.

WWDC this morning will take some time to fully go through what Apple are releasing. From what I'm seeing it's nothing ground breaking. Lots of AI but we're not moving away from OpenAI or Anthropic's products anytime soon.

And tonight is a Nintendo Direct. Should be a few interesting announcements given that its been 9 months since the last direct.

Blasphamous 2 Done

I completed Blasphamous 2 today. It was a grind; some of the final bosses were really tough. Odon and Eviterno were particularly nasty.

I followed this guide to get through some of the tricky bosses plus watching YouTube. Honestly it's one of the best gaming experiences I've had on the Switch.

This is pretty exciting news. A Skyrim type game but in Middle Earth seems like a no brainer for me. I've never played any Warhorse games but Kingdom Come looks like a good match for LOTR.

Blasphamous 2

I mentioned here that I'm currently playing Blasphemous 2. I'm about 70% of the way through the main game now and I've found it to be a real grower. I found it a little boring at first but the Metroidvania progression has been excellent and the bosses are some of the best I've ever experienced in a game. They're really challenging for me and I had to really learn move sets to beat them. The art style and music are also perfect. I'm honestly kind of keen to buy the art book.

LIV Done

Geez this happened quickly.

The publication reports through a PGA source that the Returning Member Program — which Brooks Koepka opted into at the start of the year at a hefty cost — is not expected to be re-offered to the other three players who were eligible, Bryson DeChambeau, Jon Rahm and Cameron Smith.

“The situation is different now,” the source told the publication.

Meanwhile, the path Patrick Reed is on — waiting one year from his last LIV Golf tournament to re-emerge on the PGA Tour — is no guarantee to be open to other players.

Furthermore, Golf Digest reports that the 11 players who joined an antitrust suit against the PGA Tour — this includes DeChambeau and Phil Mickelson — are expected to face a harsher route back to the Tour.

DeChambeau is said to have been disillusioned with LIV in 2026 amid $500m contract negotiations, and reportedly held talks about other options during the Masters.

Brooks Koepka made the right choice.

Wall Taken Out

In the last few weeks we've done the most major renovations we're ever embarked upon on our house. We had a whole wall taken out by my brother Jake who did an incredible job. Lots more to come yet as we still need to get the new plaster sanded, the new floorboard polished, paint, put new cornices on and get some electrical work done. It will all happen quite slowly.

PGA Tour Schedule

This is big news and I'm very curious to see what the schedule changes look like.

Please give me an Australian PGA Tour event in January. It just works so well for American TV in terms of timezone.

New Surfboards

Over the last few months me and Emma have been surfing a lot. We've loved driving down to Phillip Island and surfing at either YCW Beach or Smiths Beach.

We've also acquired 2 new boards.

The first board is an 8"0 Gnaraloo foam board which has a high volume (85L). This has been awesome for board for us to learn on as it floats like a boat. It also has really good paddle power.

The second board is a 7"6 Critical Slide epoxy board which also has a good amount of volume (53L). I've surfed this board 3 times now and have really loved it. I can get lots of waves in the smaller beach breaks and feel like it's building my confidence.

Next Two Years Nintendo
