As I had literally no personal savings after buying an iPhone I decided to finish off a game I hadn't finished yet before buying something new.
I chose: Donkey Kong Country Tropical Freeze.
I had a couple of levels left (the hard ones) so it was fairly challenging jumping back in.
I liked the game overall but definitely didn't love it. It reminds me so much of the old Crash Bandicoot's in the feel of the game. It's fun, the music slaps and the game looks beautiful.
But for me straight up platforming games are just a little boring. They definitely evoke a lot of nostalgia but they don't provide any wow factor.
