I'm officially a sub 20 handicap.
I had one of my most consistent rounds of competition golf on Saturday. In great conditions with no wind I ended up with a Stableford score of 41 for a stroke play round of 89 (including one pickup).
I won the daily competition which was a nice bonus!
I did the fundamentals really well:
- Great chipping and putting
- Striking my irons well
- Making good decisions when I was out of play, chipping back on to the fairway and not going for hero shots
The only fairly shoddy aspect of my game was driver but I still made it work somewhat.
Next goal is to surpass the sub 15 handicap. That might take a little while!
