I watch a lot of YouTube.
With the frequent annoying "you need to disable your ad-blocker to watch this video" modal that I wrote about here I finally caved and did what Google wanted.
I become a YouTube Premium subscriber.
I have to say it is good. Not worrying about ads is decent but nothing that fantastic since I was already used to this with an ad blocker. I get audio playback even when my phone is sleeping which is another cool feature. Probably the best thing is actually contributing to the livelihood of the creators I like directly. I am not the product. I am paying the creators I like for them to keep creating content.
I've dropped my Disney Plus subscription which is sad but necessary considering I didn't actually use it regularly unlike YouTube which is a daily habit.
