Jeep Wrangler Review

The roads are filled with Jeep Wranglers in O‘ahu. We joined the club and hired one for 3 days using Turo. There's so many Wranglers that in the carpark we were often confused as to which one was ours.

Turo really looked after us. The Wrangler we were meant to get cancelled on us last minute. Luckily, Turo rebooked us and sorted everything out after a phone call.

The car has a nice simple interior. It feels off road as it's got lots of buttons and has a rugged look.

CarPlay was rock solid in the Wrangler unlike our experience with the Grand Cherokee.

Putting the front part of roof up and down was really easy and with two people took ~15 seconds. You just had to be careful that it wasn't going to rain as little showers can hit quickly.

The car had great fuel economy. We drove really far (probably ~400 kilometres) and only had to fill up half a tank before dropping it back off.

Being a smaller vehicle it's easy to park. I might also think this too coming from the tank of a car that was the Cherokee.

To me it's also just a straight up cool looking car. I love the hinges on doors and the general boxy shape of the body.

There's plenty of space in the back for storing things.

We loved the whole experience of driving. The only downside was the sometimes heavy Honolulu traffic.

Here are the rental costs by the numbers.

Per day: $55 USD
Parking per day: $30 USD (2 nights)
Total: $225 USD

This was the car that we ended up driving but Turo lowered the costs to match what we were originally hiring.
