Yesterday me and Emma went to a Potbelly for lunch. I ordered an Italian on white.
It was a surprisingly delicious sandwich.
This was in direct contrast to my bagel expereince in New York City. We decided to pre order bagels from Ess-a-Bagel which seemed to be a top rated bagel joint.
When we picked up our bagels they were pretty dry and didn't really taste that good. This was a huge disappointment. Granted our order may have been slightly wrong (we both ordered BLTA's without mayo) but the bagel itself just wasn't that good. Glicks is on par and the famous Montreal bagel's kick Essa's butt.
So in summary, a chain sandwich joint is better than a niche New York City bagel bakery.
