I played at a par 3 golf course today.
It was a lot of fun. It's way more chill than a full length course and I can actually make a lot of pars as a 22
handicap.
The question I was thinking about whilst playing was:
Can we have more par 3 courses in Australia (Melbourne specifically)?
The course had both the par 3 and a full length course which was an awesome use of the space.
Perhaps in Australia we can turn courses that kind of suck (like Burnley) into quality par 3 courses.
It's easier for people getting into the game to play on par 3 courses and pace of play is also much better.
Perhaps there should be some kind of rule where until you get a handicap stick to public par 3 courses?
That's probably harsh but at the same time I think it makes sense.
