Played a decent round yesterday. A couple of points:
- Hitting 5 iron off the tee is working well, work on ensuring you start the ball more right, you can pretty easily hit a drawer now and work it right to left
- Make sure in your practise swings you take some turf, this ensures you'll get the ball up
- Work on putting, a good round is when you 2 putt on every hole, that didn't happen yesterday
- Chipping also needs some work, a 10-20 metre sand wedge is a shot I commonly need on course
- Hitting a low runner 5-6 iron is a good safe shot, don't need to hit fades (unless it's an obvious shot to hit)
I was 94
for the 18 with no pick ups. If I make some putts and hit some slightly better approach shots I can break 90
no problem.
