Driving Iron

I've been struggling with my confidence off the tee with driver.

I try to hit it not too hard with a slight little bit of cut but just never seem to get that consistency I'm striving for.

I've therefore had a look around at what else I can use on par 4s and 5s and have come to the conclusion that driving iron is the way.

I went and purchased a Wilson Staff Model Utility Iron (21 degrees).

I picked it up for $180 off Facebook Marketplace.

I've now used it on the course and at the range and I'm happy with it. I just get slightly more consistency with an iron in hand and can still hit it ~180 metres. I lose about 20-40 metres not using driver but this really isn't the end of the world especially at Patterson River which doesn't play too long.

I'm trying to play bogey golf anyway so on a long par 4 two longer iron shots and a chip on is completely okay.
