Boots had his first ever dog obedience class yesterday. He did really well!
There was some good advice on how to prevent pulling during walks. It essentially boils down to every time they pull you being firm with them.
So the order is:
- Dog pulls
- You stop
- Say "Manners!" or some other word about pulling
- Once the dog is no longer pulling carry on
Our trainer also made a good point about being embarrassed in public. You have to accept that training a puppy means acting really weird in public places with your dog.
