Albums To Listen To When Getting Into The Beatles

It's no shock to many of my friends and family that I love The Beatles.

When someone asks me what I like about them it's a specific set of albums that all work together so well. Basically anything The Beatles did in the recording studio between late 1965 to 1970 is magic in my opinion.

If someone asked me the question:

what Beatles albums should I listen to first to get into them?

this is the reply I'd give them.

  1. The Beatles (White album)
  2. Revolver
  3. Abbey Road
  4. Sgt. Pepper's Lonely Hearts Club Band
  5. Let It Be
  6. Rubber Soul

You should also watch Get Back especially before listening to Abbey Road and Let It Be.

Some notes on each album.

Listen to the loud and soft of the White Album. You get one song that's super loud and chaotic and then you get a quiet song. It's so well balanced and fun. I especially like the louder songs as they led to what punk and heavier rock bands emulated.

Revolver has some incredibly catchy and political songs. Front to back every song is fantastic.

Abbey Road has one of the best climaxes to an album ever. Every song between You Never Give Me Your Money to The End link together and I love it when albums do that.

Sgt. Pepper's is iconic as it represents the year 1967 and what was happening in culture at that time. It has some weaker songs but it balances out with some classics.

Let It Be is 100x better when you watch Get Back beforehand. It has some super catchy songs and I love that there's a lot of straight up rock and bluesy songs.

Rubber Soul is the weakest album listed here but it's still very good. The song In My Life alone makes this album amazing.
