Since I've started writing out my goals at the end of every year I figured it might also be fun to do a best of list from the entertainment world.
This list encompasses the following:
- Games
- Music (albums)
- Movies and television
- Gadgets
This list is not necessarily entertainment that was released this year. It instead entails entertainment that I discovered this year.
So without further ado here is the list.
- Game of the year: Celeste
- Album of the year: Ramones
- Movie/Television of the year: House of the Dragon
- Gadget of the year: MacBook Pro 14-inch
Celeste was just a fantastic platformer. It has all the basics nailed: mechanics, music, artwork and it even has a nice story. It had me hooked. I loved figuring out how to beat some of the trickier levels.
Even though I'd listened to some Ramones songs in my life I never listened to their debut album as a whole until earlier this year. It is incredibly good. Punk rock in the mid to late 70's is perfection.
House of the Dragon was such a refreshing return to form for Game of Thrones. The writers produced a fantastic story and it has me hyped for season 2.
My work computer was my favourite gadget of the year. It's the best laptop that I've ever used. Apple are making fantastic computers right now. They've come a long way in the last 5 years.
