I'm not sure if I really liked the ending of Stranger Things season 4. It was built up as this incredible epic ending that was some of the best television of the past 10 years. A friend of mine literally said to me:
it's the best thing I've watched since Game of Thrones season 1
It was good don't get me wrong. Part one was a perfect blend of horror and humor. It was scary but not too much. A nice balance of "oh my god" and the wholesome elements that make the show so digestible.
Part two was long. I felt like some of the slow motion fighting scenes were a little unnecessary. I also felt like some of the dialogue between Max and Vecna carried on for longer than my liking. Yes it builds tension but some edits could have been made to achieve the same cinematic effect.
I also kind of wish that season 4 was the end of Stranger Things. They'll make tonnes of money by making another season but killing Vecna should have ended it all.
The "2 days later" scenes should have been all the characters reuniting with the turmoil in Hawkins finally done.
It's an incredible show and I loved watching season 4 but just a couple of things felt a little off to me.
