Jedi Academy Review

Really enjoyed Star Wars Jedi Knight: Jedi Academy.

What truly is remarkable about this game is the level design. For something that was released in 2003 it holds up well in 2022. The most memorable missions for me were Corellia and Chandrila.

The saber combat is just pure fun. It doesn't offer the most in terms of variety but it does take some level of skill to get into the right positions to defeat the dark Jedi.

The dark side force powers are what I found myself mostly using to get through the game especially electricity and force rage. It was also a lot of fun force gripping storm troopers and send them off ledges.

The main frustrations with the game is the variety of ways you can die and then the lack of checkpoints. The only way to progress at times is to spam the save menu as this gives you at least some control over being somewhere near where you were if you die.

Highly recommended game and something that I'm glad I spent money on.
