I actually can't believe the phenomenon that Wordle has become! I can kind of see why it works so well though. With you only playing for a short time everyday it gives you that serotonin hit but leaves you wanting more.
Here are my stats right now omitting a couple of days as this is after I added the app to my home screen.
Having something added to my home screen did make me remember a couple of things Apple should do to improve the install experience.
Firstly, Apple still considers these "add to homescreen apps" as bookmarks when really they are actual apps. This naming convention should be changed.
Secondly, when I was trying to move Wordle into my app library and off my home screen I realized I was unable to do so. I could only "delete the bookmark".
Wordle provides an app like experience and should be treated as one!
