Boots is the king of the hill.

This is part of our "everything" walk where we go to the dog park (DP for Boots), river and sometimes the oval at the primary school. It's our favourite local walk.

Me and Emma walked the Red Hill Rail Trail today. It took us about 3 hours including lunch in Merricks.

The walk is gorgeous. Boots had one of the best days of his life. We just had to be a bit careful and get him on and off the leash when other people had their dogs leashed.

I've almost broken the 20 handicap barrier for golf. I'm currently a 20.1.

Since mid 2022 I've hovered between a 20 - 23 and have struggled to have enough consistency to finally get below 20.

My last 7 stableford scores have all been above 30 points which I'm really pleased with.

I just need one more solid round and get as near as possible to 36 stableford points and it should mean I break this barrier!

I saw a Tiktok about this. I then watched a video and did some more research:

The promotion was meant to improve attendance at the game by offering cups of low-alcohol beer for just 10 cents each (equivalent to $0.62 in 2023), a substantial discount on the regular price of 65 cents (equivalent to $4.02 in 2023), with a limit of six beers per purchase but with no limit on the number of purchases made during the game.

6 beers per purchase is an interesting choice.

Six days earlier, the Indians and the Rangers had been involved in a widely-publicized bench-clearing brawl; the game therefore drew a rowdy and belligerent crowd. As the game proceeded, on-field incidents and massive alcohol consumption further agitated the audience, many of whom threw lit firecrackers streaked across the playing field, and openly smoked marijuana.

Having beer night after player brawls in previous games is not a good idea.

Continued degradation of the game culminated in a riot in the ninth inning when fans rushed the field. Players were forced to protect themselves with bats while retreating from the field.

I heard this AFLW state of origin idea listening to The Footy With Broden Kelly podcast. 100% agree that it would be awesome to have this on at prime time and do a proper Victoria vs South Australia game at the MCG. It could really unite fans and get them even more invested in the women's game.

For the last year or so I've bought all of my golf balls from Lost Golf Balls.
