Prince Of Persia Is Done

Last night I finished The Prince of Persia: The Lost Crown. It was a fantastic game and I loved my time with it.

The mechanics and power-ups were excellent. The progression in difficulty was really well balanced. The game looks great graphically. It's Metroid tier in terms of the quality and level of polish for these fundamentals.

I loved the bosses. Some of them took many many attempts to finally understand their attack patterns to take them down.

The story was really strange but it sort of made sense in the end. This aspect could have been better.

This is a cool little tool for getting system information that I discovered at work this week.

Sports Events I Want To Go To

This is a list of sports events I'd like to go to in my life:

  1. The Masters
  2. Ryder Cup
  3. EPL game (could also just be FA Cup) for any big club
  4. WrestleMania
  5. Champions League
  6. UEFA Euro Cup
  7. FIFA World Cup
  8. Ashes Test (in England)
  9. IPL
  10. Adelaide vs Port Adelaide or West Coast vs Fremantle (AFL)
  11. State of Origin (league)

I think experience wise The Masters would be just phenomenal.

Realistically the South/West Australian AFL games or the State of Origin are possible in the short term.

Me and Emma might be going to Europe late next year so maybe that will be a chance to see some EPL.

A Couple Of Gigs

I've been to a few gigs to see some of Em's favourite artists lately.

The first gig we went to was in January which was Noah Khan at the Sidney Myer Music Bowl. He played a full acoustic set and the sound was phenomenal. There's something magical about that venue on a summer's night with a mostly acoustic artist. It was serene.

Last weekend we went to Maisie Peters at Margaret Court Arena. The sound was admittedly much worse in this space compared to Sidney Myer but it was a perfect venue for the audience numbers. Maisie played some upbeat pop music and it was a lot of fun. Emma said the vibe was very similar to Taylor Swift.

I'm almost through all of Prince of Persia now and have loved it.

so, uhm, I never played Skyrim in my life.

Last night I started it on my Steam Deck, and it's immediately more fun and immersive than most open world games from the past few years...?

I'm curious as to whether I'd enjoy Skyrim. I feel like the answer is yes. I'll have to play it on my Switch but I think it runs okay on there?
