I've been to 5 Iron golf in Mentone a couple of times now and have some thoughts:
- It's definitely an upgrade from X-Golf, the Trackman simulator is much more accurate
- It still doesn't simulate different lies or more finicky shots very well
- Putting is still trash
- The Trackman glitched a couple of times in the previous session, may have just been the particular Trackman we were playing with, it would randomly change gravity and hit shots you didn't actually hit
All in all it's very promising to see more technology like this being used that I can access locally. It's a fun experience overall and would recommend trying.
