Metroid Guide#strategywiki.org

Took me a little to find but this is easily the best Metroid guide.

Now that I have a good guide I'm properly immersed in the game.

I've learnt how to properly use the pause menu map and I'm getting used to the general controls.

My general rating of the gameplay: it's fucking awesome.

It has that Zelda feel of puzzle solving and exploration. Where it has the edge over Zelda is from a purely graphical perspective. The environments look so cool. The weapons are so nice too. I just got the Morph Ball and Morph Ball Bomb and this is a very well implemented gameplay mechanic.

The way the game also pays homage to the original Metroid games is done with a lot of creativity. You often need to backtrack to get the next upgrade or get to the next part of the map which is exactly like Super Metroid.

I've found that defeating enemies is not the tricky part of the game. The tricky part is figuring out where to go next and what weapons you need to progress.
